Fatal Insomnia

Fatal Insomnia centers on the incredibly rare genetic disease fatal familial insomnia, which is the subject of writer Daniel Max’s book “The Family That Couldn’t Sleep”. The film explores the latest research into the science of human and animal sleep, shedding light on why we sleep and what happens to our brains when we don’t. It features extensive dramatic recreations interwoven with compelling science.
